We made odd shaped red slate tiers that he stacked so his fish could hide and explore in and around them.
The photo of one of his fish shows his appreciation by posing for the camera next to the Flamingo Pink sea glass placed inside a broken terra cotta pot.

In one picture you'll see a close-up of the flamingo pink sea glass with a
family of Neo. Multifasciatus that have made it their home. The Dad is the
larger in the front, he is 1/2 blocking the smaller mommy... you can see
some of the babies in the higher resolution picture. They Love the sea
glass.

This particular species of fish is from Lake Tanganyika in Africa and these
Multis are thought to be the smallest cichlid species in the world - at full
size the male gets to be maximum 2" the female maxes at about 1.5"
