After seeing lots of water walls and fountains for expensive prices, I thought to myself I could make one myself for less! I bought some 1/2" malleable copper piping which is soft and can be bent by hand, and I bent it into a circle shape. Next, I bought a galvanized steel square basin and painted it copper with spray paint and sealed the corners with aquarium silicone.
I then purchased a Becket M200 fountain pump from the local hardware store, however this was before I discovered FountainsnSlate, where I could have bought a better pump for less then half the price!
I picked up a large Chinese coin replica made of polyresin and hung it from the tubing, using a piece of wood with a slit in it underneath to let water pass through and support the polished rocks. To finish it off, the fountain sits on two natural slate tiles. Many thanks to the people at FountainsnSlate for all the tips and advice, and I have just purchased everything I need from them to make some larger fountains. Their customer service was excellent, and I recommend them to anyone!
Thank you Dominic from British Columbia for sharing your fountain and description with us!
